Why on earth did I name my blog The Immortality of the Crab?

 

There is a saying in Mexico (and possibly other Spanish-speaking countries) that talks about "thinking about the immortality of the crab". Basically, it refers to day dreaming, but when someone catches us in LaLa land and asks what we're doing, we say "I'm thinking about the immortality of the crab", to cover up the fact that we're day dreaming and try to make it seem like we're contemplating something serious. 

 

Since I wanted to design a blog where I would feel comfortable ruminating on whatever crossed my mind, I chose this name. There is also the connection to my Mexican culture. Plus, there is the humor of it all.
